At the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show Honda has unveiled the new Sports EV concept. This compacts sports car is the second concept which is based on Honda’s Electric car platform. Recently Honda had also unveiled the Urban EV city car at the Frankfurt Motor Show. This indicates that Honda is keen on getting into the electric car format which is going to shape the future. Honda has claimed that the Urban EV will go into in production in the year 2019 as the first electric car from its stable.
The Honda has offered the Sports EV with retro looks and an all-electric powertrain. This car also gets a long hood, roofline which slopes towards the tail lamps and a raked windshield. The front fascia gets a wide front grille which holds the round LED headlamps at both the ends. The cars get a muscular look thanks to the large wheel.
Even though Honda has claimed that it will start the production of electric cars by the year 2019, till now they haven't given out any technical details. We are expecting the Sports EV to be equipped with rear-wheel drive.
