Jeep have introduced the new prices of its models post GST and also introduced the petrol variant for the Grand Cherokee. Kevin Flynn, President & MD Fiat Chrysler India said, “Our directly-imported Jeep SUV portfolio is now complete with the addition of the Grand Cherokee Summit Petrol. Latest models of the new Jeep Grand Cherokee and Wrangler Unlimited, at post-GST prices, are available with immediate effect at all Jeep-exclusive and FCA dealerships across the country.”

Along with these post GST prices Jeep has also introduced a new petrol variant for the Grand Cherokee. Earlier the Grand Cherokee was powered with a diesel engine which was priced at Rs 1.12 crore (pre-GST, ex-showroom New Delhi). Now Jeep has introduced a V6 petrol engine which is used in the Wrangler Unlimited, but it is tuned for the Grand Cherokee. This engine is 3.6-litre V6 Pentastar which produces a power of 285.5 bhp and torque of 347 Nm and it is coupled with a8-speed automatic transmission and it will also be equipped with paddle shifters. The paddle shifters will also be available for the diesel variants.

Jeep has also made air suspension standard for the Summit diesel and petrol models. Velvet Red and Diamond Black Crystal are the new two colours introduced to the existing colours. The Grand Cherokee now also gets electric power steering (EPS), which has replaced the previous electro-hydraulic unit and the ParkSense rear park assist system now includes a Start/Stop function.
