Skoda unveils the Karoq at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show ahead of it is Global launch which will be held in the month of October 2017. After its launch in the international market, the Skoda Karoq will be launched in India somewhere around the year 2018.
The Skoda Karoq is a D-Segment 5 seater SUV and it borrows the design from its elder sibling the Kodiaq. The India Bound Skoda Karoq may get black and beige interior theme, which is available in the Superb and the new Octavia.This 5-seater SUV will be equipped with rear AC vents, climate control and a touchscreen infotainment system as standard in all its variants. The optional features which will be available are rear seat entertainment package, electrically adjustable front seats, digital instrument cluster and accessories like window curtains and coat hooks.
Skoda is offering the Karoq with two new petrol engines and 3 diesel engine options. The petrol engines includes a 1.0 litre turbocharged TSI engine, which produces 113BHP of power and 175Nm of torque. While the second petrol unit consists of a 1.5 litre TSI engine which produces 148BHP of power and 250Nm of torque. Both of the petrol engines will be couples with a automatic and manual gearbox. The diesel engines include 1.6litre mill will chunks out 113bhp of power and 250Nm of torque, while the 2 litre TDI turbo engine will be available in 2 power options- 148bhp of power and 340Nm of torque or 188bhp of power and 400Nm of torque. The diesel engines will be available with 4 wheel drive and will be coupled with an automatic or manual gearbox.
Looking into the safety features Skoda has never disappointed. Skoda offers the Koraq with ABS, EBD and 6 airbags as standard along with stability programme with traction control on the automatic variants.
