Last month Skoda had halted the Rapid Monte Carlo sales due to a trademark dispute with Monte Carlo fashions- which is a clothing company. According to the court's verdict, Skoda was forced to close down the advertising, sales and manufacturing of the Rapid Monte Carlo. Skoda has now relaunched the Rapid Monte Carlo with a brand new name and it is called as the Rapid Edition X.

As we mentioned in our previous article, the Skoda Rapid Edition X will get all the features like 16-inch dual-tone black alloy wheels, quartz-cut headlight with LED DRLs, black grille, dual-tone front bumper, etc from the Rapid Monte Carlo. The interiors also will get the 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment, 3-spoke flat bottom sporty steering wheel, steel pedals, etc which was also available in the Monte Carlo edition.
Under the hood of the Skoda Rapid Edition X are an option of a petrol and diesel engine. The 1.6 litre petrol engine is capable of producing 103 BHP of power and 153 Nm of torque while the 1.5 litre diesel engine produces 109 BHP of power and 250Nm of torque. These engines are coupled with 5 speed manual gearbox but the petrol variant get an optional 6-speed automatic gearbox and the diesel variant get an optional 7-speed DSG option.
