Tata Harrier Preview :-
The upcoming Tata Harrier is a compact SUV that will go squarely against Hyundai Creta in the segment.
Interestingly, the seven-seat version will get a different nameplate that will be revealed later.
mechanical strength will be derived from Fiat Chrysler’s 2.0-litre 4-cylinder oil burner.
In a bid to curb pricing, Tata will use steel bits instead of aluminium.
the Tata Harrier price in India is expected to fall between Rs. 10 Lakh and Rs. 16 Lakh (ex-showroom).
Engine & Transmission :-
The Tata Harrier specifications will include only a diesel engine sourced from Fiat Chrysler.
The 2.0-litre Fiat Multijet turbocharged engine is expected to offer 140 bhp of power and 320 Nm of torque
As for the transmission, expect it to get a standard six-speed manual gearbox
It could also get an automatic unit, though there is yet no official confirmation on the same.
While there is a hint on the engine set-up and transmission to be used on the upcoming Tata Harrier,
there is yet no word on the fuel economy.
Going by the estimates, the compact SUV could offer around 18 km/l, which is pretty impressive.
Braking and Safety :-
In terms of safety, expect the SUV to get multiple airbags, anti-lock-braking system with
electronic brakeforce distribution, hill descent control,
electronic stability program with roll over mitigation and traction control, among others.
Interior & Exterior :-
Tata Harrier exterior will be built on the evolved IMPACT Design 2.0 philosophy.
It will be the first model to embrace the latest design tenet.
The bold styling will be retained and large chunky wheels will further accentuate the muscular look.
Other bits such as sleek headlamps, high-set tail-lamps and a floating roof are expected to finish the look.
interior will feature a five-seat layout inside the cabin with ample space for passenger seated in the second row.
Expect both the rows to get a centre armrest, while in terms of features, the SUV will come with rear AC vents,
sunroof, steering-mounted controls, a touchscreen infotainment system and memory functions for the front seats.
