Ford launches a new Top variant for the EcoSport in the Indian market. This Top spec trim is known as ‘Titanium +’ and it is priced at Rs 10.47 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Well this top spec variant is for the Eco-sport with the petrol engine but it aint coupled with an automatic gearbox.
Aesthetically, there aren't any changes and its similar to regular variant Eco-Sport’s in its lineup. But Ford is offering the ‘Titanium +’ Eco-Sport Petrol with a projector headlight unit with LED Daytime Running Lights at the front. Moving towards the side profile, this variant gets new 17-inch alloy wheels.
Well speaking about the interiors, everything is almost the same to previous top sec trim of the Eco-Sport before its launch. But, Ford now offers the ‘Titanium +’ EcoSport with Ford’s own Sync3 infotainment system which is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In addition to this, it also gets voice commands and a reverse camera to safely park your vehicle in tight corners.
Powering the new top spec ‘Titanium +’ Eco-Sport is a recently updated 1.5 litre ‘Dragon’ petrol engine. This is a three-cylinder naturally aspirated mill which is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. This 1.5 litre petrol engine produces 123 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 150Nm of twist at 4,500 rpm.
The safety features in the Ford Eco-Sport Titanium + includes six airbags, ABS, EBD and Isofix anchors. In the Indian market, the Ford Eco-Sport competes head on with the Maruti-Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the Tata Nexon. With the launch on the new variant, Ford is increasing the competition of the compact SUV segment in the Indian market.
