Ford will be launching the facelifted Figo Aspire in the coming days and it is rumored that the launch will occur on October 4th. The marque is targeting on boosting the sales of its rather unloved Figo siblings by launching the car ahead of the festive season.
The updated Figo Aspire will see a redesigned front fascia with a new chrome finished honeycomb grille. The front bumper carries the most changes in the form of a new air dam and some design cues from the recently introduced Figo Freestyle. A revised headlamp design with a DRL setup is also likely on the cards. The rear will also see changes to the bumper and tail lamp design. The car will also be shod with a newly designed set of alloy wheels. The cabin design will remain largely unchanged and the Black-Beige color scheme will be used as per spy shots. The new touchscreen infotainment system will also be most likely a shared unit from the Figo Freestyle.
The 1.2-litre three-cylinder Dragon series petrol engine will make its way into the Aspire with 96 PS of power and 120 NM of torque mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The frugal 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine makes 100 PS of power and 215 Nm of torque. The biggest news, however, will be the introduction of a CNG variant for the first time.
The Figo Aspire, although being a capable sedan, failed to strike a chord with the buyers. Ford is all set to cover some ground by launching the Figo Aspire which will be followed by the New Figo hatchback in the coming months. Ford is right now phasing out all the existing models of Figo Aspires left with their dealers across the country by offering various discounts.
