At the 2018 Auto Expo, Honda took the sheets off the New Amaze. The new Amaze is currently in its second generation and with this, Honda mark's the world’s debut of the new Amaze. The Japanese automotive manufacturer has developed the new Amaze specifically for the Indian market at the Asia Pacific Research and Development facility in Thailand.
Aesthetically, at the front, Honda has offered the new Amaze with an all new design. This includes the flattened front fascia, new design headlight unit and new design front bumper. The new Amaze takes many design inspiration from its elder siblings, the Accord hybrid and the City. Moving to the side profile, this midsize sedan gets a new design alloy wheel. At the rear, Honda has offered the new Amaze with new design tail light and reworked rear bumper.
Let's step in and see what Honda has offered in this car. The previous model Honda Amaze was offered with the same dashboard design from the Honda Brio hatchback. The new generation gets a new dashboard which a touchscreen infotainment system. In addition to this, the Japanese auto manufacturer is also offering a new beige and black interior scheme. Speaking about the safety features, the Honda New Amaze will be equipped with front dual airbags and ABS with EBD, whereas the top variants will get additional benefits of an automatic climate control system and Honda’s Connect service.
The Japanese auto manufacturer has not revealed any engine details for the new Amaze. We can expect this mid size sedan to be powered with a 1.2 litre petrol mill which churns out 88 horsepower or a 1.5 litre diesel mill which produces 100 horsepower. Just like the current generation model, it might get the same five speed manual gearbox. But there is one official announcement from Honda, it will be offering the diesel mill with CVT transmission.
