Last year the Frankfurt Motor Show, Toyota first unveiled the facelift of the Land Cruiser Prado. Recently at the 2018 Auto Epo which was held in the nation's capital, Toyota showcased the facelift of the Prado and announced that it will be soon launched in India.
So, Toyota has now finally launched the new Land Cruiser Prado in India which is priced at Rs 92.6 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). With the launch of the refreshed Prado marks the third update of this premium luxury SUV. Last update for the Land Cruiser prado was launched back in the year 2009.
So let's have a look what Toyota has to offer for its premium luxury SUV, shall we?
Aesthetically, at the front, the new Land Cruiser Prado gets a new design hood, revised front grille and new fender. In addition to this Toyota has also equipped the new Prado with projector headlight and new design front bumper. At the rear, it also gets a new design rear bumper and LED tail-lamps.
Let's have a look at what Toyota has to offer inside the updated Pardo. Stepping in you will first notice that the dashboard unit is heavily updated with new design and new equipments such as an 8.0-inch infotainment screen and panoramic view monitor. In addition to this to increase driver and passenger comfort, the front seats are nw ventilated.
Well, as this is just a facelift, the mechanics remain the same. Hence for the Indian market, the Land Cruiser Prado will be continued to be powered with the same 3.0-litre diesel engine. This mill is coupled with a five-speed automatic gearbox and produces 170 horsepower and 410Nm of twist. All the power produced is transferred to the four wheels via a four-wheel-drive system and it also gets three driving modes namely- comfort, normal and sport.
