In the month of May, Honda will be launching the much awaited second generation of the Honda Amaze. This mid-size sedan was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo which was held couple a months ago in the nation’s capital.

All dealerships of Honda and MyNewCar have commenced with the bookings of the New Honda Amaze. The Booking amount has been set at a price of Rs 21,000 and the deliveries of this mid size sedan will start from the end of May 2018.

Aesthetically, Honda has offered the new Amaze with a more appealing nose that takes inspiration from its elder sibling the Honda City. To give the new Amaze a more balanced look, Honda ha s neatly designed the rear end. According to some sources, it is expected that the top spec trim of the Amaze will come equipped with a ten spoke alloy wheel.

Inside, Honda is offering the New Amaze with dual tone interiors, a touchscreen infotainment system. The Safety features is likely to be the same as that on the previous model. Honda has designed the new Amaze in such a way to provide more legroom in this new mid-size sedan.

Powering the New Honda Amaze is the same 1.2-litre petrol mill and the 1.5-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 88 horsepower whereas, the diesel engine generates 100 horsepower. Both the engine will be matted with a five speed manual transmission and it will also get an optional CVT transmission for both the petrol and diesel mills. This will be the first time that Honda will be matting a CVT transmission for the diesel mill in the Amaze

We expect Honda to price the New Amaze slightly higher than its predecessor. Once launched the New Honda Amaze will compete head on with the Maruti Dzire, Tata Tigor, VW Ameo and the Ford Aspire.
