With the festive season about to start in India, Nissan has launched a Limited edition of the Sunny. This special edition model of the Sunny carries a price tag of Rs 8.48 lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). Nissan has offered many cosmetic changes to this model which sets it apart from the standard Sunny.
On the exteriors, the Limited Edition Sunny gets new red and grey body decals on the sides, whereas on top the roof is wrapped in black. At the rear there is a new spoiler and it also gets blacked out wheel caps/covers.
If we take a look inside, Nissan as offered this special edition Sunny with premium seat covers which are finished in red and black and the interiors also geta dual tone colour theme. Nissan has equipped this model with a 6.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system which also gets smartphone mirroring.
In addition to this, the limited run model also gets an integrated connected car tech known as NissanConnect. This consists of more than 50 features such as nearby pit-stops, geofencing, speed alert, curfew alert,,Locate My Car and Share My Car Location and many more. These features can be accessed by via an application by the owner. Also, Nissan Connect will help enhance safety concerns of the car and will also be convenient for the owner.
In addition to this, this models gets an Intelligent Key for Keyless entry and push button start and stop. It also get a feature ‘Lead Me To Car’ which helps the driver/ passenger to be guided towards their car. The standard safety kit includes front dual airbags, driver seat belt reminder system and speed sensing door locks.
Powering the Special Edition Nissan Sunny are both the petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version gets the 1.5 litre engine that generates 99 horsepower. On the other hand, the diesel version get the 1.5 litre K9K unit that produces 80 horsepower. Both the petrol and diesel engines will be coupled with a five speed manual gearbox. Only the petrol variant will get an option for a CVT gearbox.
With the launch of the Special Edition Sunny, Nissan aims to boost the sales of this sedan. Considering that the festive season is going to start, Nissan plans on taking full advantage of it.
