The demand for SUV’s and Crossovers have been increased in the recent years in India. Automotive manufacturers have concentrating more on Compact SUV’s, crossovers and SUV’s and we have seen many launches and new updates in these segments.
Now, Nissan has launched a special edition for the Terrano. This will be limited run edition and it is called as the Sport Edition. The Nissan Terrano Sport Edition has been launched in Indian market at Rs 12.22 lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). While the standard Terrano is powered with a 110 bhp motor or an optional 85 bhp motor, only the motor churning out 85 bhp power will get the Sport Edition.
Lets have a look at the changes done to the Sport Edition Terrano, shall we? Aesthetically, this special edition Nissan Terrano gets LED Daytime Running Lights which is situated near the headlight unit on the grille and the bonnet gets a red strip. Moving towards the side profile, this SUV gets red and black decals all over the body and it also boosts of a new cladding situated on the wheel arches. On top, the roof gets a contrasting black roof rails and black pillars.
On the other hand, inside Nissan has offered the Sport Edition Terrano with contrasting dual tone finish. This includes a brown and black finish on the dashboard, while the seats, upholstery and floor mat gets a black and red finish. The Sport Edition Terrano gets navigation as standard. Just like the top trim XL (O) of the Terrano, teh Sport Edition gets features such as a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, voice recognition for Apple phones only, steering mounted audio controls, rear parking sensors, rear defogger and Nissan’s Connect Application.
Under the hood, of the Sport Edition Terrano is the same K9K 1.5-litre diesel mill which is available on the standard Nissan Terrano. This mill is coupled with a five-speed manual transmission and it generates 85 bhp of power and 200 Nm of twist.
As we have seen many car manufacturers have been updating its SUV’s, crossover and Compact SUV’s, Nissan also are trying to update its fleets. With the launch of the Sport Edition Terrano, Nissan hopes to boost the sales of this SUV.
