The British luxury car manufacturer, Rolls-Royce has launched the New Phantom in India at a Rs 9.5 crore. Well the 2018 Phantom will be available in two models the standard wheel base model which as mentioned above is priced at Rs 9.5 crore (ex-showroom, India). On the other hand the extended wheelbase model is priced at Rs 11.35 crore (ex-showroom, India). Now the new Phantom is currently in its eighth-generation, while its predecessor was sold in the market for about a decade.
Rolls-Royce has built the new generation Phantom an all new aluminum space frame platform. This brand new aluminum space frame will underpin Rolls-Royce future models. This will also includes the luxury car makers first ever SUV which is named as the Cullinan. In comparison with the predecessor the new phantom now gets better ride quality, spacious cabin and top notch refinement, all thanks to the new aluminum space frame.
Just as we said that new Rolls-Royce Phantom is now offered with a spacious, so let's talk about numbers. The Standard Phantom 5.7 meters in length, while the extended base model is 6 meters long with a wheelbase of 3772mm.
Well let's talk the best part of this car, yes the cabin. The cabin gets sound insulation weighing 130 kg no wonder why it retains the title of the ‘Most silent car in the world’. Rolls-Royce also offers the window with 6mm two-layered glazing. Speaking about comfort the new Phantom comes equipped with a Starlight roof which can be set to replicate the sky. It also gets a champagne chiller for you to sit back relax while you are chauffeured around. The new Phantom also come equipped with a huge touchscreen infotainment system, with the user interface borrowed from BMW but exclusively customised for the Phantom.
Lets have look at what drives the massive Phantom. Under the hood is a 6.75-litre, twin-turbo, V12 petrol mill which churns out 571 bhp of power and 900 Nm of torque. This massive engine is coupled with a eight speed satellite-aided automatic transfer case.
