Recently Skoda launched the 2018 Superb in the Indian market making it the flagship sedan from its stable. Now, Skoda has introduced new variant which is known as the Corporate Edition for the Superb. With this launch it marks the introduction of a new entry level trim for this flagship sedan.
This Corporate Edition is based on the previously available Style trim of the Superb which was then the entry level variant. In terms of the price tag, the Corporate Edition is cheaper than the Style trim by at least Rs 2 lakh. Even though the Corporate Edition is cheaper, it still gets most of the modern features and technology which was available on the previous Style trim. These features on the exterior include, xenon headlamp units, panoramic sunroof and electric ORVMs. While inside, it gets electric driver seat, cruise control, steering mounted audio controls, touchscreen infotainment unit and beige leather upholstery.
Under the hood of the Skoda Superb Corporate edition is the 1.8-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine. This turbocharged petrol mill is coupled with a six speed manual gearbox and it produces 177 bhp of power and 320Nm of twist. In terms of the safety kit, Skoda had equipped this entry level flagship sedan model with ABS, EBD and ESP along with other common safety features which are available such as rear parking sensors, rear parking camera, ISOFIX child-seat mounts and airbags.
Skoda has offered the Superb Corporate Edition with a price tag of Rs 23.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Also, Corporate Edition Superb will only be available in the Pearl White paint Scheme. In the Indian market, the Skoda Superb locks it horns with the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord and the Volkswagen Passat.
