Recently the homegrown auto manufacturer Tata Motors celebrated the selling of 85,000 units of the Zest. To celebrate this success achieve Tata has launched a special edition of the Zest. This special edition sedan is named as the Tata Zest Premio and will only be available in the diesel variant. The Zest Premio is launched at a starting price of Rs 7.53 lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi).
Let's have a look at what has Tata offered with the special edition Zest, shall we? To differentiate from the regular Zest, the Zest Premio gets some cosmetic changes to the exterior and the some tweaks inside the cabin. Tata is offering a glossy black roof for this special edition sedan as well as Piano Black ORVMs and wheel covers dipped in dark grey. At the tail, the Zest Premio gets the “Premio” badge and customers can choose for an option spoiler which will add to the sporty look of the sedan. At the inside, Tata Motors added the Premio badging and the seat fabric gets contrast stitching. While rest of the technology and instrumentation is same that of the standard Zest.
Under the hood of the Zest Premio is 1.3 litre four cylinder diesel engine sourced from Fiat. As we said above the Zest Premio will only be available in the Diesel trim. This mill produces 74bhp of power and 190 Nm of torque and this motor is matted to a five speed manual transmission. The special edition will miss out on the AMT gearbox.
Tata Motors hasn't disclosed the exact variance this Special Edition Zest will be based on. Once updated we at MyNewCar will upadte our potential customers about the same.
