With just a day to go for the media days of the Auto Expo 2018 to be kick started. Auto Expo which held in the nation's capital is one of Asia’s largest and world’s second largest Auto car show. There will be many launches of cars and bikes that will be taking place in this event. Hence we get to you the Top 5 cars that is expected to be launched and that the Indian market is eagerly waiting for.
Maruti Suzuki New Swift:
This is the most awaited hatchback to be launched by the Indian manufacturer. The bookings have been officially started since a month and it has received an overwhelming response from the Indian consumers. The new Swift is based on the HEARTECT platform which is currently in its fifth generation, underpins the Dzire. The new generation gets a whole new design which enhances the looks of the car which includes new design front and rear bumper, single frame grille, projector headlights and LED daytime running lights, LED tail lights and a sporty spoiler. Mechanically it will be powered with the same petrol and diesel engines and it will come standard with a five speed manual gearbox. While the AMT transmission will be optional for the Vxi,Vdi, Zxi and Zdi variants.
Hyundai Elite i20
The Korean manufacturer is expected to launch the facelift of the i20. This new facelift model has been spotted testing many times in the nation, the facelift includes cosmetic changes to the front with the revised rille, tweaked headlight new bumper design at the front and rear and a redesigned tail unit at the rear. Mechanically it will remain unchanged as it will continue to be powered with a 1.2 litre petrol unit and 1.4 litre diesel unit. But there are many rumors going on that Hyundai is likely to introduce a turbocharged 1.0 litre petrol mill to the hatchback. Along with this the Korean car manufacturers will also showcase its rally prepped i20.
Some years ago the Japanese manufacturer had taking the Indian automotive market by a storm with the introduction of the Honda Civic. The sedan was much loved with the auto enthusiasts in the nation. After some years of successful sales, Honda brought down the sedan, well the international market got to other generations but we didn't receive them. We are expecting Honda to unveil the latest generation Civic at the 2018 Auto Expo. this new generation Civic is offered with an aggressive and sporty design and will be powered with turbocharged 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre VTEC petrol engine. While a 1.6-litre i-DTEC engine is also expected.

This mid engine sports car is powered with a 1.2 litre turbocharged petrol engine. This mill is capable of producing 190bhp of power. This coupe has also bagged the German Design Award as ‘Exceptional Product Design’ in 2017.
The launch of the Vios, Toyota will steal the limelight of the sedan segment in the 2018 Auto Expo. It will be the entry level C-Segment sedan from Toyota’s stable in the Indian market. We have been eagerly waiting for its launch in the nation for quite some time, while it has been successful in the international market which bares the name Yaris Ativ. We are expecting the Vios to be powered with a 1.5-litre VVT-i petrol engine while the diesel mill could be a 1.4-litre D-4D engine.
