As of now Toyota will only be launching the Yaris with a petrol engine and it will get an option between a manual and automatic gearbox. This is the 1.5-litre four cylinder petrol mill which generated 108 bhp of power and 140 Nm of torque. As we said about the transmission, this mill is coupled with an optional six-speed manual or six-speed automatic CVT gearbox. A diesel motor will be launched in the coming months. Once launched the Toyota Yaris will compete head on with the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Honda City, Volkswagen Vento and the Skoda Rapid in the Indian market.
