Launch details of the upcoming Honda Civic revealed
The much awaited car launch for the year 2019 is the all new Civic from Honda. After a long time of almost seven years, Honda will be bringing back the Civic in the Indian market. According to some reports, it is confirmed that the Japanese car manufacturer will be launching this sedan by the month of March 2019. It is estimated that the new Civic will be retailed between Rs 15 lakh to Rs 20 lakh range (Ex-Showroom, India).
Recently, the 2019 Honda Civic had also been spotted undergoing test runs around India. Aesthetically, the new Civic is offered with a very angular design and it also gets the fastback-like design. In comparison with the previous gene model, it used to carry over conventional three-box design. Upfront, the upcoming Civic will be equipped with LED headlamps and LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL’s) and also at the rear it will be offered with LED tail light unit. In addition to this, the new Civic will carry a large Honda-family-look chrome grille and this sedan will now run on large 17-inch fluidic design alloy wheels.
Under the hood, Honda will be offering the 2019 Civic with an option between a petrol mill and a diesel engine. The petrol mill will be a 1.8-litre unit and it can generate 140 horsepower, also this engine which will be mated with a six-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission. In terms of the diesel model, it will be powered with a 1.6 litre, four cylinders, a turbocharged pot which can churn out 120 horsepower. This oil burner will most only be coupled with a manual gearbox and will most likely lose out on an automatic gearbox.

Maruti teases the facelift of the Baleno and opens it bookings
Officially, Maruti Suzuki has released the teaser image of its upcoming Baleno facelift. With this, Maruti Suzuki will be offering the Baleno with its first major update since it was launched back in the year 2016. This premium hatchback from Maruti will be retailed at its Nexa outlets and the concerned dealerships have also commenced with the bookings for the same. In terms of design and aesthetics, Maruti Suzuki will be offering the upcoming Baleno facelift with an all new bumper and grille at the front. In addition to this, on the exterior, this premium hatchback will also get a new design for the alloy wheels.
That's all for the exteriors, let's step in and have a look at the changes and upgrades that will be available in the cabin. On the inside, Maruti Suzuki will be offering some minors tweaks to the dashboard and also it might be upgrading the quality of the seat fabric. The safety package will be equipped with speed alert warnings, the front passenger and drivers will get seat belt reminders and it will also be offered with parking sensors at the rear. Just like the previous model, safety features like ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchors. Front dual airbags will be available as standard in all the variants.
Mechanically, Maruti Suzuki will not be offering any changes or upgrades. Which means that the upcoming Baleno facelift will continue to be powered with the same 1.2-litre petrol mill and the 1.3-litre oil burner powerhouse options. Only the petrol engine will be coupled with an optional CVT automatic transmission and still, there is no news about the CVT unit for the diesel mills.
It is expected that the new Baleno will be offered with new and more features for the lower trim levels. Once launched the upcoming Baleno will take on the VW Polo, Hyundai i20 and the upcoming Tata 45X.
It is expected that the facelift version of the Baleno will hit the showrooms by the end of this month. Republic Day Service Camp organised by Renault
Renault has officially announced that they will be conducting a Republic Day Celebration Service Camp for its customers. This service camp will be held nationwide at all the Renault Service outlets and it will commence from the 22nd of January 2019 till the 25th of January 2019.

Honda cars in the Indian market bro receive a price hike from February 2019.
Honda has officially announced that they will be increasing the prices for its cars from the coming month of February 2019. This price hike is initiated due to the increases in foreign exchange rates and taxes and this price hike will also be seen on other car manufacturers as well.
The Japanese car manufacturer will be shooting up the price tag by Rs10,000 on its range of cars in the Indian market. As mentioned above these prices are meant to be increased as the commodity prices, as well as the taxes on foreign exchange, have also been increased.
For further break up in the price hike, Honda has also announced that the new CR-V will see a hike of Rs 10,000 whereas as the other cars in the fleet of Honda Cars India will see an increase of Rs 7,000. On this price hike, Rajesh Goel, Senior VP and Director- Sales of Honda Cars India has commented that “There has been huge pressure on costs owing to commodity prices and foreign exchange rates and we had been trying to withhold this increase for quite some time. However, we are now compelled to pass on a part of the increased costs to customers effective Feb 1.”

A six-seater Maruti Suzuki Ertiga in the making, expected to be launched soon
Somewhile ago, Maruti Suzuki launched the new generation Ertiga in the Indian market after a long wait. With the launch of this MUV, Maruti Suzuki only offers a seven seater variant with a third-row configuration for it. However, the Indian car manufacturer is working on. Six seater variant for the new generation Ertiga and it is expected to be launched soon in the coming weeks.
The most important changes that will be seen in the cabin, is the inclusion of captain chairs which will be placed in the middle row. The standard model gets three passenger bench seat so the captain seats will help in providing better comfort. According to some reports, it is also known that the six seater Ertiga will get many premium interior options along with faux leather upholstery in comparison with the regular fabric seats that are available in the standard models.
Well, that's all for the change in the interior, there will also be some mechanical changes under the hood as well. This new version of the Ertiga will be the first product from Maruti Suzuki to roll out with an in-house developed 1.5-litre diesel engine. With this, the old 1.3-litre DDiS engine will be replaced and a better new BS-IV compliant engine will be brought in the form of the 1.5-litre unit.
Maruti Suzuki is getting in the BS-IV compliant engine early so that they don't stack up more on the models with the old engine.
