The German automotive manufacturer, Volkswagen has upgraded the safety kit with a crucial update on the Vento. Now, the top end trim level, the Highline Plus will come equipped with additional dual front side airbags. Previously this variant was available with only driver and front passenger airbags which were standard across all the trims.

 

With this upgrade to the Vento, Volkswagen has strengthened its image of a “Safer Car”. Although now the airbag count of the Vento has increased to four, it rivals such as the Hyundai Verna and Honda City (Top trims) come equipped with a total of six airbags. Beating everyone in the mid-size sedan segment is the Toyota Yaris with seven airbags which are available as standard across all its variants.

 

On the other, Volkswagen has also updated the Highline Plus variants of the Vento with a new Portago Grey 16-inch alloy wheels. Whereas the Highline trim now runs on 15-inch alloy wheels. In addition to this, at the rear, the Vento now comes fitted with a body-coloured spoiler.

 

The Ameo compact sedan and the Polo hatchback is updated with new Lapiz Blue paint scheme. Also, both the cars get a moonstone colour surrounding around the radio, a USB charging port at the rear and a glove box light. The Polo GT on the other hand now gets new fabric chequered seat.
