The Ford Freestyle is designed to look like a SUV and also has better ground clearance so that you can take this little beast for some off-road without hurting itself. With the launch of the Ford Freestyle, the American car manufacturer will be debuting its new naturally aspirated 1.2litre Dragon series petrol engine. This new engine will also be matted with a new five speed manual transmission and it will produces 94 bhp of power and 120Nm of torque.
Ford is equipping the Freestyle with front dual airbags and ABS with EBD as standard right from the base variant. The mid variant Trend gets addition reverse camera, engine immobiliser parking sensors at the rear and three point seatbelt. While The Top variant gets six airbags, Active Rollover Prevention system (ARP), Traction Control system, Hill launch assist and Electronic Stability Program. .
Technology and Features:
Ford is offering the Freestyle with LED tail lamps, ORVM with turn lights integrated to it, rear windshield wiper. In addition to this it's also gets automatic headlamps, Keyless entry, Push button start and rain sensing wipers. Inside it gets a 6.5 inch floating type touch screen information system that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and it also gets automatic climate control. On the other hand the top spec trims gets Ford SYNC# connectivity system and also gets Ford My Key. Ford My Key helps the user to set speed limit and also to set up the max volume of the speakers.
Once the Ford Freestyle launches in the Indian market it will compete head on with the Volkswagen Polo Cross, Toyota Etios Cross, Fiat Urban Cross and the Maruti Suzuki Celerio X.
