Hyundai will launch the 2016 Elantra in India on 23rd August, 2016. The automaker first introduced Elantra in India in its third generation avatar and the upcoming is the sixth generation. The car now flaunts a large bolder hexagonal front grille with boomerang-shaped air intakes on the bumper and LED fog lamps. The swept back headlamps give it a unique design.
The car is now 20mm longer and 25mm wider than the existing model, measuring 4610mm in length, 1800mm in width, and 1450mm in height with a wheelbase of 2700mm.
Hyundai’s latest 7.0-inch and 8.0-inch infotainment systems, which support both Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto. Hyundai also offers Blue-Link app support (both for smartphone and smartwatch)
The Blue Link offers services such as remote start with climate control operation, destination search (powered by Google), remote door lock/unlock, car locator, and stolen vehicle recovery.
4.2-inch LCD screen in instrument panel
Integrated memory system for the power driver seat and side mirrors
Hands-free smart trunk (just like the upcoming Tucson)
Seven-airbag system, including a driver’s knee airbag
Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

For the Indian market, the 2016 Elantra is expected to offer two engine choices. The petrol option would be a 2.0-liter four-cylinder MPi capable of 149 PS (146.90 hp) and 183 Nm of torque while the diesel will be a 1.6-liter CRDi with VGT capable of 136 PS (134.09 hp) and 306 Nm of torque.
Gearbox: 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearboxes.
Expected Booking Amount: Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lac but as per the reports, it’s Rs 25,000

Expected Price Range: Rs 15 to 19 lac (Ex-Showroom)
