Mitsubishi have put a teaser out showing the new nose on the Outlander as part of their 2015 New York Auto Show Invitation. However, the shot is taken in such a way that it is difficult to see the changes. Luckily though, a Japanese photographer has taken some better pictures which reveal more details about the new look.
It looks very much like the Outlander PHEV Concept-S which was seen at the 2014 Paris Motor Show is the basis for the styling. There is the same X-shaped grille which is outlined in chrome and two bars on the top connecting the headlights. Even the gloss back panel looks to be the same, which provides some contrast visually. There is one change compared with that show car though in the fog light design which does not have the LED embellishments.
The picture was taken while the car was waiting at a port in Japan and then posted on Livedoor, which is a blogging site. The car will be debuted on April 2nd in New York and then everyone will get a proper look at it.
