In the month of February, Maruti Suzuki tops the sales chart by selling 1,08,115 units followed by Hyundai with 40,716 units. (Domestic sales). Interestingly, the Maruti Suzuki Omni, India’s oldest passenger vehicle that’s still being sold, made a surprise entry into the top 10 list of vehicles sold in February, according to data provided by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers, or Siam.
Only two out of the eight models that were on the roads in the same month of 2015 posted year-on-year growth; sales of the Omni grew at the fastest pace.
Vehicles made by Maruti Suzuki India Ltd grabbed five of the top 10 positions and its nearest rival Hyundai Motor India Ltd three.
