Why Hyundai Venue Is Going To Be The Most Popular Car Of The Year? Find Out In Next 60 Seconds

Established in 1967, South Korea's top carmaker Hyundai has spread over 110 countries including India. Hyundai also owns Kia which is the 2nd largest carmaker in South Korea that is responsible for more premium range cars.

With the new technology, best in class quality and exceptional designs, Hyundai has managed to create a huge market and fan base here in India. When it comes to Hyundai a certain level of quality is usually expected and the carmaker has never failed to deliver it.


Now South Korea's leading carmaker Hyundai is all set to launch its new model in the Indian market this May. The Carlino concept that was seen in auto expo 2016 has come to its physical state and is now called the new Hyundai venue. The new compact SUV is the talk of the town and is expected to create a spot for Hyundai in the compact SUV segment.

So, How does the New Hyundai Venue looks like?

What’s new is the grille pattern the car will acquire. Unlike most new models of Hyundai, the Hyundai venue will get rectangular grille that gives the car a rugged look. The square fascia in the car even increases its appeal giving it the patented SUV look.

The smallest SUV in India will have vertically stacked drls and turn indicators. The fog lamps are placed under the headlights. The car is made keeping the youngsters in mind so overall, the car gives off a contemporary look that suits the theme.


The car will have a length of 3995mm width of 1770mm and height of 1590mm. The wheelbase of the car will be 2500mm. The contemporary headlamp design contrasts the conventional tail lamp design. The boxy design gets smoother edges that give off a sculpted look.


The new venue will get everything new including its dashboard layout. The interior of the car features all black theme with silver borders around the AC vents. It also gets an all-new steering wheel layout as well.

The steering wheel will feature updates steering wheel controls wit clearly divided central console. The infotainment system will be sandwiched between the AC vents with middle portion featuring climate control followed by wireless charging and USB port. the instrumental cluster will get a combination of digital as well as analogue display.


Hyundai Venue Engine:

  • The 1.2-litre petrol engine that produced 83ps of power and 115nm torque that will be mated with 5-speed manual transmission.

  •  The 1.4litre diesel engine that produces 90PS power and 220Nm torque that will be mated with a 6-speed manual. 

  • As the car is already getting everything new in terms of designing and features, a new engine introduction just gives us a pleasant surprise.

  • The 3rd engine option that will be a new 1 litre turbocharged 3 cylinder petrol that produces 120ps/172nm will be launched in India for the first time.

  • This engine option will get a 6 speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Hyundai Venue Features:

The venue offers all the standard features along with wireless mobile charging, cruise control, auto climate control, rear AC vents, push-button start/stop, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

The top variants will also get a sunroof. It will also be the first car in the segment to provide engine start/stop, climate control and door lock-unlock as well as key sharing remotely.


The car does come with another sweet surprise that is the new blue link connected car technology. The car will be a lot similar to that of the MG hector which is scheduled to launch in June this year. This ‘smart car’ will come with a sim from Vodafone idea that will be providing the car with internet connectivity.

The technology will let the driver connect to the car in real time. With diagnosing issues and service reminders, the car's health can be monitored on a daily basis. It will also offer voice recognition and real-time navigation.

The car also has an emergency assist system and a panic button that will send distress notification to the family or friends. The car will also feature Automatic Crash Notification (ACN) and Assistance, SOS Emergency Assistance, and Roadside Assistance.

The live tracking feature of the car will come with anti-theft and vehicle immobilization, speed alert and geo-fence alert.

Hyundai Venue Rivals:

Hyundai venue will compete with ford ecosport and  Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and the Honda WR-V.

With similar features, the Korean carmaker’s Hyundai venue may have huge competition with the well marketed Chinese carmaker’s British dream, MG hector. The venue is scheduled to be launched in may which is almost 2 months earlier than MG hector which again can work in Hyundai's favour. Another plus point of the new venue is the lower costs it is offered for. For the Indian market, the venue is expected to have a price starting at Rs. 8 lakhs while the MG hector will start at rs.15 lakhs.

With such a new concept, the market for venue looks pretty good provided the proper execution of what they promised. Being  One of the top brands in the Indian automotive market, a lot is expected from the new Hyundai venue. With ‘’everything new’’, the car is expected to suit the likes of everyone.

The car is scheduled to be launched on 21st may 2019 and will be priced between Rs. 8 lakhs- Rs. 12 lakhs.
