Mahindra Marazzo Review: What No One Tells You About
When it comes to bigger cars Mahindra never disappoints. With already 17 car models by its side, Mahindra has consumed the automobile market in terms of larger cars. Known for its built, size and sturdiness, if you ever decide to get a bigger car for your family, Mahindra is something that you should definitely be considering.
This relatively new launch by Mahindra. Marazzo is an MVP (multi-utility vehicle) that had been made available in India in 2018. Named as the shark in Italian, the name is said to be inspired by the shark-like design of this car. The car is available in 7-8 seater arrangement. The Mahindra marazzo price ranges between rs 9.99l-13.9l.
Marazzo is said to be updated in January 2019 with an addition of rs.40,000 to its original car making that must go beyond the margin of Rs.10 lakhs. The updated version will get new features and said to have connectivity like apple car play. Even after the hike in the cost of the car, marazzo is still one of the cheap muvs available in India.

Marazzo comes in 4 variants m2, m4, m6 and m8. With m2 being the base variant and m8 the top variant. All of which are available only in diesel fuel option.
The inspiration from a shark is evident in terms of design. The car also insinuated the same with its aquamarine colour that is given as one of the colour options. Looking at the car especially all the names, one would definitely realise that there is an ocean theme going on. The marazzo is 4,585mm long, 1,866mm wide and 1,774mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2,760mm.Mahindra Marazzo Appearance:
The front chrome grille is entirely inspired by the great white shark. The chrome grille features a teeth-like structure that is similar to that of the shark. The chrome grille also enhances the look of the car making it more appealing.
If you look closely on the top, the antenna that comes with marazzo is actually that of a shape o shark. The uniquely designed gadget sure gives the car a different look. The vertically laid out wrap around tail laps makes a v, almost a tail-like structure that gives us the idea that how much this car resembles the shark.
The sharks rule the ocean, they are ruthless, tough and at the same time amazingly beautiful. Mahindra designed marazzo a way that its as strong and ruthless as a shark and rules the entire road with its presence.

Mahindra Marazzo Interiors
Interior wise, the 3rd row is comfortable enough to even seat a 6-foot tall person. The car is available in 7 and 8 seaters. In the 8 seater version, the seats have 60:40 split which provides 1055 litres of luggage space. The 2nd and 3rd rows are a lot roomier and best in class. The interiors have a light colour theme that makes space look even bigger.
There is a 4.2 TFT display in the instrument cluster that turns purple after sunset. The car comes with a conversation mirror that lets you converse with the passengers on 2nd and 3rs rows. Marazzo comes with roof-mounted ac vents that are fully adjustable and can be closed off based on preference. With inbuilt diffuse mode, the cooling gets spread out evenly everywhere so you do not need to worry about air vents pointing at a specific direction all the time. Marazzo also has one 12v socket in the front row with 2 USB ports and one USB in the second row for charging.

Marazzo gets twin chamber projector led headlamps. That’s not all, the new marazzo also gets power foldable ORVMS with side turn indicators. To help the passengers get on the car safely in dark, Mahindra has added entry assist lamps on its rearview mirrors. The door handles comes with chrome inserts that enhance the overall look of the car. The car also gets 43.18cms alloy wheels which gives the car a luxurious look.
Additional features like fog lamps with daytime running lights, integrated rear spoiler with led stop lamp are also present. The car has a piano black modern dashboard with a modern cluster illuminating in purple. The interior also contains the hints of additional chrome accent for the better overall look.
Mahindra Marazzo's Comfort:
Mahindra has not left any rock unturned when it comes to its design and comfort for its new car. Marazzo provides ample space for all its passengers including the 3rd row that’s usually not always comfortable. Marazzo has fully automatic temperature control that lets you adjust the temperature in the entire car without missing a spot. For the additional convenience, Mahindra has provided the marazzo with 8-way adjustable driver’s seat. The seats on the 2nd and 3rd rows can be tumbled down with just one touch and are available in a 60:40 split.
Marazzo has an inbuilt sunshade for the 2nd row. Even though marazzo is based on marine life, the parking brake lever seems to be inspired by an aircraft, creating a perfect theme of the horizon on a beach. The 7 seater marazzo comes with the 2nd row to have recliner seats and the 8 seater comes with a bench seat. The boot space can be further extended as the seats can be tumbled down to increase the luggage space for the long journey. The front of the c r comes with 2 cup holders and there are storages available on all the doors. You can also cover the cup holders with a tambour door that is provided in the car. The dual tone interiors also suit the overall look of the car with leatherette seats enhancing the luxury in the car.
Mahindra Marazzo's Safety:
Marazzo has received a 4-star rating in the latest global NCAP crash test. It is the first Indian made MPV to receive such a high rating in terms of safety. The car gets dual front airbags in all its variants.it provides abs with EBD on all variants and first in class disk breaks for all its 4 wheels. It also gets ISOFIX child seat mounts on all its variants. Another safety features include rear parking camera with sensors, cornering lamps, crumple zones and side impact beams, auto door lock/unlock.
Mahindra Marazzo Technology:
Marazzo gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an additional driver infotainment system that illuminates in purple. The cars come with eco and city mode and also has an inbuilt eco-sense technology that lets you know your eco score.
Another feature that stands out is the emergency call application. In the events of a crash, the ‘bluesense’ app automatically sends a message with location details to the emergency contact number.

It has a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that was first introduced in this car. It gives an output of 123ps and 300nm and comes mated with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The automatic transmission option and a petrol option is expected to be launched in 2020. The marazzo offers an ARAI-certified mileage of 17.3kmpl. This car comes with a double wishbone front suspension and twist-beam at the rear. The car has a fuel capacity of 45 litres. The tyres are tubeless radial with disc breaks at both rear and front.

It has an overall length of 4585mm with an overall width of 1866mm and a height of 1774mm. It has a wheelbase of 2760mm with a minimum turning radius if 5.25m. The car has a kerb weight of 1650kgs.

- Because of the placement of the ac duct on the 3rd row, the 3rd-row seat lacks a little shoulder room
- Usually, on the hilly road, the fully loaded marazzo faces some issues as the engine capacity is pretty low.
- Unlike the seating, the storage areas on the door side are not well spaced, limiting the accessibility in such areas.
