Maruti Suzuki Ertiga 2018: Things You Must Know Before Buying

India is a country of big families. The more the people, the merrier the families are. We believe in joint family. Whether it’s a joint business/venture of two brothers, family business or just a tradition, staying together is always a sign of unity. These big Indian families more than often travel together.

Now, getting two different cars are feasible but not always economical, keeping that in mind, Maruti Suzuki has designed a new MPV Maruti Ertiga just for those big Indian families.

Not just families but most of the times our second family, our friend circle may exceed 5 people. While planning a road trip, travelling together is always the most fun and that’s when an MPV comes in picture.

So what exactly is an MPV?

Mpv is a multi-purpose vehicle also known as a minivan in some areas were specifically designed for families. Most compact mpvs hare more flexible when it comes to accommodation that is the seats may be individually folded or even removed. Due to the multi-purpose use, the bonnet may be shorter and the passenger seat more upright than in regular cars aiming to provide for a roomier interior. Compact mpvs that are available in India are usually five or seven-seaters.

The first and third rows (in 7 seaters) with two seats and the middle row with three. The two rear seats are sometimes smaller and in some cases facing 90 degrees from the front of the car. The seats are mainly designed to be enough for children or for luggage and even for short distances.

Priced at Rs. 7.44-10.90lakhs, Maruti ertiga is the most affordable mpvs in the segment. The 7 seater comes with petrol and diesel fuel options with four variants namely l,v,z and z+  with l being the base variant and z+ being the top spec variant.
