Mercedes-AMG has launched the facelift for the CLA45 and GLA45 in the Indian market. The CLA45 4Matic Coupe is priced at Rs 75.20 lakhs (ex-showroom, India), while the GLA45 4Matic SUV will cost Rs 77.85 lakhs (ex-showroom, India). In addition to this Mercedes-AMG is also providing an Aero Edition for the CLA45 and GLA45. The Aero Edition will provide its customers various high levels of customisation options. The CLA45 and GLA45 Aero Edition have priced at Rs 77.69 lakh and Rs 80.67 lakh respectively.
Compared to the previous models, Mercedes-AMG has provided the new CLA with LED headlamps unit, diffusers for the front and rear, new design front and rear aprons and a tweaked lip spoiler. While the new GLA45 sports get these similar changes but it also gets an additional spoiler mounted on the boot. Both the new CLA45 and GLA45 ride on new 10 spoke, 18-inch alloy wheels.
Whereas the Aero Editions for the CLA45 and GLA45 get a new black finish, a sporty yellow strip which runs from the front to the rear bumpers and it also gets decals on the door. It also gets all blacked out alloy wheels and these changes will be seen in the Yellow Night Edition that will be launching in India for the first time.
The interiors of both these cars are tweaked and it comes equipped with a new instrument cluster, 360-degree camera and a new 0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. While the Aro Edition cars will feature with yellow elements interiors and a special edition Aero Edition badges.
Powering the New Mercedes AMG CLA45 and GLA45 is the 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine. This engine is capable of producing 381 BHP of power and 475 Nm of torque. This engine will be coupled with a 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox which will transmit the power from the engine to all 4 wheels via Mercedes 4Matic system.
As of now, there is no direct competition to these cars in the Indian market. Till now Mercedes-AMG has launched 7 cars in total and they claim to launch 12 cars by the end of 2017
