In India Skoda recently launched Rapid with the Monte Carlo edition at Rs 10.75 lakhs (ex-showroom, India). The Rapid Monte Carlo is the new edition launched to pay homage to the racing history of Skoda.
Skoda has launched the Rapid Monte Carlo in two colours - Flash Red/ black roof and Candy White/ black roof. As we look at the front end we can see that this sedan gets a black front grille, this gives the car a sporty look along with quartz-cut headlight with LED DRLs. It also gets 16-inch dual-tone black alloy wheels and to along with this Skoda also offers black roof. The boot lip spoiler is painted black, the car also comes with a matching diffuser and the Monte Carlo badge sets majestically on the B-pillar.
As we enter the car you will notice that the cabin roomy and it is equipped with a 3-spoke flat bottom sporty steering wheel. As we already mentioned that the Monte Carlo edition is launched to pay homage to the rich racing history of Skoda, this car is equipped with steel pedals, red and black Monte Carlo seats, and the dashboard gets piano black trim on the centre console and AC vents. Skoda is also offering the Rapid Monte Carlo with 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment which also compatible to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Safety Features and equipments:
Skoda is offering the Rapid Monte Carlo with rear parking sensors and rear-view camera which will the driver to park the vehicle safely. To increase the comfort of the driver and occupants this sedan gets cruise control, auto-dimming IRVM, rain-sensing wipers, one-touch roll-down windows with anti-pinch, height adjustment for driver and front passenger seats and it also gets climate control with rear air-con vents. The Rapid Monte Carlo is equipped with ABS, dual-front airbags, ESC and Hill Hold Control on the DSG variant, which insures your ride is safe and will prevent you from unforeseen circumstances
If we look into the hood of the Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo we see that there are two engine options available- ( petrol and diesel variants). The 1.6-litre MPI, petrol engine produces 103 BHP of power and 153 Nm of torque and it's coupled with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox. On the other hand the 1.5-litre TDI, diesel engine chunks out 109 BHP of power and 250 Nm of torque and the engine is matted with a 7-speed DSG or a 5-speed manual transmission.
