Skoda officially launches the Kodiaq in India at Pan India price of Rs 34.49 lakhs. Kodiaq is the first ever 7 seater SUV and it will be available only in one variant in India. Skoda Kodiaq is based on MQB platform and on which the Volkswagen Passat and the Volkswagen Tiquan are built. This seven seater SUV was first showcased at Geneva in 2016, under the concept name Vision S. The name Kodiaq is inspired from from an Alaskan brown bear. Let’s have a look around this 7 seater SUV, the front face gets a muscular Mustache shaped grille with vertical slats. This grille holds the front headlights perfectly to give it a mean look, the Headlight unit gets full LED lights and LED DRL’s. Under this Grille is a white honeycomb air intake and to both it gets LED fog lights ad along with this the Bonnet is also designed in such a way to give this SUV a masculine look. Moving towards the side profile of the Kodiaq, this SUV gets strong shoulder lines, descending roof with black roof rails to give it sporty look. Whereas to give it an aggressive look it gets a black broad side strip which also helps protecting the car from scratches and shocks during some fun off roading. The wheel arches gets typical Skodas designing which is square in shape and the car rides on 18 inch Trinity alloy wheels. The rear end of the Kodiaq gets a sport spoiler, full LED tail lamps and it also gets swipe foot to open the boot feature.

The Kodaiq gets 3 zone climate control, well lit footwear illumination, LED ambient lighting with 10 colour options and electric folding wing mirrors.Skoda is also offering an 8 inch touch screen infotainment system which will also compatible with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Mirrorlink. Powering this 7 seater SUV is a 2.0 litre TDI engine which is capable of producing 150 PS of power and 340 Nm of torque. This engine will be coupled with a 7-speed DSG gearbox. The Kodiaq is offered with 4X4 drive and is capable of transferring 85% of torque to one wheel and 90% torque to the rear axle. This car will be offering you an average of 16 km/L.
