Finally the updated Endeavour (Everest) SUV had been unveiled by the American auto manufacturer Ford. The new Ford Endeavour will first go on sale in the Australian market and then it will be followed by other countries of the ASEAN regions. Well, you must be thinking when will it land on the Indian soil? As of now, this SUV will not be launched this year, but it expected to be launched next year 2019.
Lets have a look at the tweaks that the American Car Manufacturer has offered in the new Endeavour, Shall we? Aesthetically, the updated Ford Endeavour gets some style updates at tweaks at the front such as redesign front grille, updated headlamp inserts and new design front bumpers. Coming towards the side profile, one can notice that this SUV now runs a new design and larger 20-inch alloy wheels.
Well, let have a look inside and see what updates does the new Ford Endeavour get, shall we? Ford has offered new design and modified interior for its SUV and the touchscreen infotainment system will now be powered with FORD SYNC3 interface. Talking about safety, Ford has never disappointed us and always concentrates of launching and manufacturing safe cars. The updated Endeavour will be equipped with new safety feature such as autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection along.
Along with tweaks on the exterior and the interior, Ford has also done some changes mechanically. The new Ford Endeavour will be powered with an all new 2.0 litre diesel engine which will be coupled with a new 10 speed automatic gearbox. This new diesel mill is capable of generating 180 bhp of power and 420Nm of twist. Well it also gets another out put option which a twin-turbo version which produces 213 bhp of power and 500Nm of twist.
Sadly, the Indian Spec new Ford Endeavour (Everest) will not be powered with this new engine. This engine will only power the models which will be sold in the International market. We will mostly likely get an update for the current engine powering the Ford Endeavor and this update will also et the BS-VI complaint engine. Once launched, the Ford Endeavour facelift will compete head n with the Isuzu MU-X, Skoda Kodiaq, Toyota Fortuner and the Mitsubishi Pajero in the Indian market.
