Mahindra dealers have started taking bookings for the upcoming SUV Marazzo. Mahindra is all set to launch the car on September 3rd, 2018. Mynewcar has started taking bookings for the SUV with a booking amount for Rs 11,000.
The Marazzo SUV was codenamed the U321 and the car was spotted countless times with heavy camouflage undergoing extensive testing. Mahindra revealed the name Marazzo earlier this month which means Shark in Italian. The design also takes inspiration from a shark. Mahindra Marazzo is designed by the Mahindra Design Studio and the company-owned Italian design house, Pininfarina. The SUV’s overall silhouette represents a more aerodynamic approach than the usual crop of Mahindra SUV’s, which are more polarized to the boxy side of things.
Mahindra Marazzo is a globally developed product and is a result of an engineering collaboration between Mahindra Research Valley located in Chennai and Mahindra North America Technical Centre (MNATC). Mahindra has teased the car in various images showing the overall design language, interiors and exteriors. The SUV will be offered in both 7 and 8-seat configurations. AS far as we know, Marazzo will be equipped with a single unit roof mounted AC vent setup and a 7.0 touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Car play and Android Auto.
The Marazzo will come with a new 1.5-litre diesel mill churning out 130hp and 300Nm torque mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The Marazzo is Mahindra’s answer to the popular Toyota Innova Crysta with a very competitive pricing that will considerably be cheaper than the Innova and the Tata Hexa. The upcoming SUV is available on MyNewCar India for booking.
