Some days ago, Mahindra finally pulled the covers off the Marazzo which we were eagerly waiting for. The Marazzo comes available in four variants and two seating configuration, but Mahindra launched this MUV with only a diesel engine and a manual transmission. According to some reports it was said that a petrol engine and automatic gearbox will be introduced sometime around 2020.

Now, according to some sources it is confirmed that Mahindra has started working on the Marazzo AMT in accordance with Magnetti Marelli. This automatic version of the Marazzo will feature a six speed Automatic Manual Transmission (AMT). As of now there is no confirmation whether the AMT unit will be available on the petrol mill or diesel mill or both the petrol and diesel units.

Now, powering the Mahindra Marazzo is only the 1.5 litre diesel unit that generates 123 horsepower and 300Nm of twist. According to the ARAI test condition the Marazzo delivers 17.3 kpl. The petrol engine will be introduced after the BS-VI emission norms will come into action. In the Indian market, the Mahindra Marazzo competes against the Toyota Innova Crysta and the upcoming new gen Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.
