The Indian automotive manufacturer, Tata Motors have added a new variant into the Hexa’s stable. This new trim level for the SUV is known as Hexa XM+ and it is placed above the XM variant and below the XT variant. Tata has launched the Hexa XM+ at Rs `5.27 lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi).
Aesthetically, let’s have a look at what the Tata Hexa XM+ has in a package, shall we? Tata has provided this new trim level with an all new design 16-inch alloy wheels, it also gets fog lamps at the front, electrically operated ORVM’s (mirror adjustment and folding wing mirrors). In addition to this, Tata Motors is also offering the Hexa with an electric sunroof that can be fitted at the dealer level and it comes with a two-year warranty on it.
On the inside, the Hexa XM+ variant comes equipped with a steering wheel wrapped in leather, a soft-touch dashboard, automatic climate control, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers and eight colour ambient lighting. For utmost comfort, Tata has provided this variant with cruise control and to assist in parking this massive SUV it gets reverse parking sensors with parking camera.
Powering the Tata Hexa XM+ trim is the 2.2 litre diesel motor that is also seen in other variants. This diesel motor is coupled with a six-speed manual transmission and it produces 156 horsepower. As of now this variant only gets the manual transmission and it misses out on the automatic gearbox.
With the price tag of Rs 15.27 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) the Tata Hexa XM+ variant locks its horns with the Mahindra XUV 500 W9 variant that is priced at Rs 15.47 lakh (ex-showroom). In addition to the price tag, even the features offered on both the SUV’s are somewhat similar.
