Due to Virus Outbreak - 2020 Honda City Launch Postpone to April
The corona virus that started from China now has made its presence worldwide turning into a pandemic. With more than 3.08 lakh people falling prey to the virus and more than 13,000 deaths, the virus has become the biggest threat to humanity. The worst of it being experienced by China, Italy, USA, Iran, Japan and most parts of Europe, the virus is also expected to raise havoc in other countries. So far, more than 330 cases have been reported in India. With the fast rise in confirmed cases, we can never be too careful.
With the most cases being found in the most developed nations, the global economic sector will be suffering a huge loss. The economic sector is expected to suffer excessively with a loss of 70% jobs in the travel industry, which is expected to have the worst impact. China is one of the biggest markets for most of the businesses. With China taking the biggest hit, the already suffering global economic sector is expected to degrade even further. The global pandemic of covid-19 may also result in one of the worst recession worldwide.
India is a country with the second largest population in the world and with population density of 420 people/sq.km (comparing to USA at 60 people/sq.km., china at 145 people/sq.km and Italy at 206 people/sq.km.), the spread of this virus can have horrifying consequences in India. With the stage-3 soon approaching in India, the government has taken some extreme decisions in order to avoid the nationwide spread.
The auto sector is expected to also have one of the worst hits. The competition between the automakers to launch its BS6 variants before 1st April has come to a halt due to this virus. The panic and lockdown in various sectors have led to a decision of postponing the launch of 2020 Honda City to April due to the current situation as well.
