The BS6 deadline is approaching fast. With the last month of being able to sell BS4S and the last month of preparing for the BS6, India will be looking forward to some major car launches. With the SUV section drawing more attention, naturally the new car models will include mostly SUVS.
Here are the 6 important cars launched you should know about this March 2020.
New Ford Endeavour
The Ford Endeavour is updated with a BS6 2.0l single turbo diesel engine that produces 170ps of power and 420nm of torque that comes mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The car does get a bunch of features including, auto HID headlamps with LED DRLs, rain-sensing wipers, active noise cancellation for the cabin, dual zone climate control, semi-parallel parking assist, hands-free tailgate, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with 10-speaker, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and SYNC3 connectivity with even airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control and ESP, front parking sensors, rear view parking camera and rear sensors.
Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace:
The allspace was launched on 6 March, 2020. The Allspace has a longer wheelbase and rear overhang compared to the general Tiguan to make room for a third row of seats. The 7-seater Allspace is powered by, 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine that puts out an output of 190hp and 320Nm of torque. The car comes accompanied with a 7-speed DSG transmission option and is paired with all-wheel drive. The car is available only in one variant and includes features like, digital driver’s display, connected car tech, a panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control and powered front seats. The car is priced at Rs.33.12 lakhs.
The crowd favorite car will be receiving a facelift post 2020 auto expo and will be showroom by 17th March, 2020. The facelift will include added design quos which are inspired by the China-spec Hyundai ix25. The car will also receive some interior changes with a landscape-oriented touchscreen infotainment unit in place of the portrait unit from the ix25. Hyundai Creta will receive all three engine and gearbox options offered on Kia Seltos. The engine options include 1.5-litre petrol (115bhp), 1.5-litre diesel (115bhp) and a1.4-litre turbocharged petrol (138bhp). The car is expected to cost about Rs 10-16.
The new T-Roc will be offered in a single fully-loaded variant, and will come as a CBU (Completely Built Up) unit. The mid size SUV will be powered by, 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine producing 150hp and 250 Nm of torque mated to 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The car will be priced slightly higher and is expected to start at Rs 23 lakh. Bookings for the T-Roc have already begun and it will finally be on sale in mid-2020.
New Hyundai Tucson
The new facelift will receive changes on the inside out. The few models will come with a new dashboard with a free-standing touchscreen that will include new features such as a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging and power adjust for the co-driver's seat. The car will receive upgrades in terms of engine as well replacing the 2.0-liter petrol and diesel engines to BS6-version. The car will have 3 engine options and will only be offered with automatic transmissions. The petrol will continue to be a 6-speed AMT, while the diesel will now come with an 8-speed AMT. 4WD will only be available with the top-spec diesel variant. Hyundai Tucson facelift will be priced higher than the current SUV at Rs 18.77-26.97 lakh.
Maruti S-Cross Petrol
Since the launch of BS6 a lot of automakers prefer petrol powered vehicles over diesel due to less complications and to keep prices in check. The same thing can be seen with the new S-cross as it will be launched in petrol power too. The car will come with the same K15B 1.5-liter, four-cylinder petrol unit from the Ciaz and Ertiga. The car will be available in 4-speed torque converter automatic version that will feature SHVS mild hybrid technology. The car will also have an option of 5-speed manual.
