Nissan Magnite SUV Teaser

Nissan has revealed a teaser of its upcoming compact SUV called as the Magnite. Though Nissan has not confirmed the name what it has done is instead confirmed its launch timeline. The upcoming compact SUV will debut on July 16 while the India launch will happen in the second half of FY 2020-21.

This is a compact SUV that would be built on the CMF-A+ platform which also gave us the Triber while Renault will also have its SUV based on this platform to be launched this year.

Back to the Magnite and what you see today is the concept version indicating with details like those LED headlamps and the alloys. However we can get a look at what the production version would look like with an L shaped DRL plus really sharp headlamps while it has a big grille with chrome outline.

Nissan will also pack it in with a lot of features to make further value for money. We will only get a petrol version of this compact SUV but in two forms with either a standard 1.0 petrol and then a turbo petrol along with manual/CVT options. The CVT option would be only on the turbo petrol variant and would be around the top-end price point.

What Nissan will also play is the pricing game as it wants the Magnite to be successful at all costs and that would happen with aggressive pricing. By that we mean this compact SUV from Nissan would be cheaper than other compact SUVs and can start from just a bit more than Rs 5 lakh!

No doubt the Magnite is very important for Nissan India’s fortunes since this is the product where the future of the company depends on. Thus the car-maker took no chance and has delayed the launch due to the current situation. Stay tuned as we will bring you more on this SUV.
