Global Automaker Fiat Chrysler Automobiles & PSA Group to be renamed as Stellantis post merger in 2021
FCA Group and Groupe PSA announced that the corporate name of the new 50-50 merged Group will be called Stellantis. The name "Stellantis" is based on the Latin verb “stello” which means “to brighten with stars”.

New colour code for vehicle number plate by Indian Goverment
1. Vehicles with temporary registration - Alpha numerals in Red with Yellow background 2. Electric vehicles - Alpha numerals in Yellow colour with a Green background 3. Vehicles with dealers - Alpha numerals in White with Red background. This new regulations are under the Central Motor Vehicle Rules (CMVR). It also mentions the size of the alphabets & numbers ( 65mm height, 10mm thick & 10mm spacing).Regional languages can also not be used.

New Car Launched this Week
The week started with the MG Hector Plus. The Hector Plus is second in the family after the Hector while in terms of launches has been MG’s third so far. The Hector Plus is a 6-seater three row variant of the Hector while it gets styling to make it look different now. The bigger changes though are inside where there is a new tan leather look and a third row plus the second row gets a recline and slide forward feature. It gets the same petrol and diesel engines as the standard Hector. Prices start at Rs 13.4 lakh
Hyundai gave us a preview of the new Tucson at the Auto Expo but finally launched the car this week. This is a big update to the Tucson while now it is the most premium and expensive SUV in the Hyundai range. The new Tucson gets styling changes while it also gets more features including a bigger touchscreen and the connected technology of Hyundai. The engine options are the 2.0 petrol and diesel while the diesel gets a new automatic and AWD option. Prices start from Rs 22.3 lakh.
The biggest launch for Honda cars happened with the new City finally being launched this week. The new Honda City is completely new and builds on the strengths of the current City which is also being sold alongside. The new City is dimension wise much bigger and takes Honda on a more premium route while it also gets a much more comfortable plus luxurious cabin with more technology and features added. It gets 1.5l diesel and petrol engines with the petrol getting a CVT option. Prices start at Rs 10.9 lakh.

Skoda Rapid Rider Plus
When the new Rapid was launched a lot of the attention was focused on the Rapid Ride being the most affordable midsize sedan with its extremely aggressive pricing. It had the new 1.0 TSI petrol with a manual gearbox. Such was the demand that the car was sold out quickly so now Skoda has brought in the Rapid Rider Plus. The Plus is around 50,000 more expensive over the Rider and is below the Ambition trim. The biggest change is now the addition of a touch-screen infotainment system which gets Smartphone connectivity plus the Rider plus has more colours on offer.

Ford EcoSport Titanium Automatic
Ford has added a new trim to the EcoSport range as now the EcoSport automatic comes with a Titanium variant and that sits below the Titanium+. So it makes the EcoSport automatic more affordable now. The Titanium comes with features such as a 9inch touchscreen plus you have paddleshifters plus traction control while it also has FordPass connected technology which is available. It misses out on 6 airbags plus sunroof on the top-end Titanium+ though. The price is Rs 10.6 lakh.
Nissan has revealed its "Designed in Japan, Made in India" compact SUV called as the Magnite. The Magnite is a under 4m SUV and would be a compact SUV to rival the Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300 and Tata Nexon. We expect 1.0 turbo petrol and 1.0 petrol to be featured with no diesel engine.Expected India launch in January,2021
