BS6 Scorpio - 4 Variants

The Indian automotive manufacturer, Mahindra and Mahindra have revealed the specifications of the BS6 compliant Scorpio on its official website. The BS6 Mahindra Scorpio was spotted conducting test runs some weeks ago. With this, Mahindra is yet to announce the latest price tag for the same and this has been deferred due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Engine and Transmission
According to the specifications, it is known that the S3 base variant will no longer be listed and the SUV will only be launched in four variants - S5, S7, S9, and S11. Under the hood of the 2020 Mahindra Scorpio will be the same 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine which also continues to churns out 140 bhp of power and 320Nm of torque. Hence the 2.5-litre diesel engine has been discontinued, along with this, the 4WD option also has been pulled out. Only the S5 variant will get a 5-speed manual transmission, whereas the S7, S9, and S11 will get the 6-speed manual gearbox.
Features
Coming to the features it remains unchanged, the 2020 Mahindra Scorpio will be equipped with the LED DRLs, a rear parking camera, auto climate control, and cruise control. It will be offered in 7,8 and 9 seating configuration as seen in the BS4 compliant model.
Safety Features
Standard safety features will include front dual airbags, ABS with EBD, speed alert system, rear parking sensors, and front seat belt reminder system.
Conclusion

Although this is just the BS6 edition of the Scorpio, the next generation model will be launched in 2021.
