Redi-Go Facelift Teased

Datsun has been working extensively on the BS6 Redi-Go which will be getting a facelift. After many spy images that have been surfacing around the internet, details about this hatchback have been teased and leaked as well. According to the images, it can be seen that the upcoming Redi-Go will get some cosmetic changes on the exterior as well inside the cabin and of course the BS6 engine upgrades.
Exterior
Coming to the design and aesthetics, Datsun will be bringing in the facelift for the Redi-Go. It will come with a redesigned bumper that holds the newly designed LED DRL’s, a bigger front grille and sleeker headlamp unit. Moving towards the side profile, there aren’t many changes except for the 14-inch styled steel wheels which get dual-tone wheel caps. At the rear, Datsun gets in new LED tail lamps and the overall design remains the same.
Interior
With the facelift offered, the biggest changes still remain inside the cabin. The 2020 Redi-Go will come equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit that will be compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In addition to this, it will get a reverse camera, internally adjustable ORVMs, bottle holders are the rear doors, two-tone instrument panel and dual-tone interiors as well.
Powertrain
Just like before, even the upcoming Redi-Go will be available in two engine options. The BS6 compliant 800cc petrol engine which churns out 53 bhp of power and 72 Nm of twist. Whereas the 1.0 litre BS6 petrol unit will generate 67 bhp of power and 91 Nm of twist. In terms of transmission, both the engines will get a 5-speed manual gearbox and standard, on the other hand, the AMT unit will only be available with the 1.0-litre engine.
Conclusion
We at MyNewCar are expecting that the Redi-Go will get D, A, T and T (O) variants and it is also expected to get two new paint schemes as well. Once launched the 2020 Datsun Redi-Go will lock its horns with the Renault Kwid, Maruti S-Presso and the Hyundai Santro. The booking may kick start after the 15 of May 2020.
