Year End Passenger Vehicle Sales Analysis India - Dec 2020

2020 Year End Car Sales Report - Top Brand, SUVs, Hatchback, Sedan & MUVs in India
The Automotive industry halfway through the year depicts an impressive sequential growth in the 2020 sales report. After witnessing a major 18 month slow down in the industry combined with the coronavirus Pandemic, September started a positive trend. Most of the OEMs in India have reflected a positive sales trend with a double-digit sales growth around September.
September has witnessed massive growth in the 2020 sales report. This can be partially attributed to the preference for personal transport during the pandemic, pent-up demand, easing-up of supply chains, and excitement of new launches. This positive momentum is still being continued, as evident from December 2020 car statistics.
Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) have just released the Vehicle Sales and registration data for December 2020. The report shows positive momentum of demand for most segments. The overall industry recorded a 11% growth over the same period last year, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, commercial vehicles, Tractors and Passenger vehicles (PV). In the first quarter of 2021, Private Vehicles saw a sales growth of 23.99 %.
