2021 Hyundai Alcazar: 7-Seater Creta SUV India Launch, Features, Engine, Interior, Price - Updates

One of the biggest launches for Hyundai in 2021 has to be the Alcazar or the Creta 7 seater version. The Creta 7 seater version would be launched with a new name in India to position itself at a more premium level than the Creta. Hyundai can either use the Creta brand name to increase the sales or launch it with an additional new name to distance itself from the hot-selling Creta SUV.

Launch Date for Creta 7 Seater/Alcazar in India 2021

The Creta 7 seater would be one of the few cars which are being made ready for launch in 2021 by Hyundai India. But the Creta 7 seater would not be the first launch from Hyundai as it has many in-store. That said the Creta 7 seater would be coming in around the middle of next year. 

Engine and Specifications of Creta 7 Seater

We do not expect any changes to the engines though Hyundai can add in more torque to the diesel or maybe the petrol to meet the extra weight of the third row or to make the driving a more relaxing experience. The range would start with the 1.5l petrol and diesel along with 1.4l turbo. The gearbox options could be the DCT in the turbo petrol to a CVT also while the diesel would be available in manual/torque converter automatic form.

Features of Creta 7 Seater

The Creta 7 seater or Alcazar would have the same features as the 5 seater Creta though the changes would probably be a tan leather interior with different upholstery and maybe some more comfort-oriented features aimed at the second-row seats where it could get captain seats in the top versions.

Price of Creta 7 Seater

We expect prices to rise to around Rs 70,000 to Rs 1 lakh when compared to the standard Creta including a premium for the third row and the interior updates. The Creta 7 seater or Alcazar would rival the likes of the MG Hector Plus and the Tata Gravitas.
