BS6 Isuzu Hi-Lander, New V-Cross ZAT Launched – Details
BS6 ISUZU Hi-Lander and New V-Cross ZAT Pickup Launched – Updates & Prices
As expected the much anticipated return of the Isuzu V-Cross pickup in BS6 form is finally here. Isuzu has added the BS VI compliant V-Cross to its range and along with that there is an addition of a new Hi-Lander model along with a new variant named V-Cross Z AT. In total the V-Cross range includes V-Cross Z Prestige (4WD / AT), V-Cross Z (4WD / MT), V-Cross Z (2WD / AT), Hi-Lander (2WD / MT) and the mu-X (4WD / AT & 2WD / AT).
The biggest change is the shift to BS6 and now the V-Cross gets a 1.9 Litre Ddi Engine producing 163 PS and a peak torque of 360 Nm @ 2000-2500 rpm. This engine lowers NVH levels according to Isuzu plus promises more refinement levels. In terms of tech it gets a Variable Geometric Turbocharger with position sensor plus a set of After Treatment Devices including LNT (Lean NOx Trap), DPD (Diesel Particular Diffuser) and A-SCR (Active Selective Catalyst Reduction). There is also an electronically controlled Hot & Cold EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) system. These are the necessary BS6 additions and we expect mileage to stay more or less the same.
The other big change is the inclusion of a new 6-speed manual with GSI (Gear Shift Indicator). The 6-Speed Automatic Transmission remains. The Highlander is the affordable variant and aims to increase the appeal of the V-Cross with being the only lifestyle pick up in India.
