KIA Seltos Prices Increasing from January 1

Kia Seltos is one of the most talked about cars in the Indian car market. In a short span of time it has managed to reach over 40,000 homes. Thanks to the premium styling, comfort and advanced safety and technology features, the Seltos has managed to beat its rivals to become the segment leader. The Kia Seltos is also Team BHP’s Car of the Year 2019. The Seltos received an outstanding 5 star safety rating in the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) crash test. As heard from the dealer sources, the prices of the Seltos will be hiked wef 1st January 2020.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Currently, the Seltos is offered with three BS VI compliant engines: a 1.5 litre petrol engine that produces 115 PS and 144 Nm of torque, a 1.5 litre diesel engine producing 115 PS and 250 Nm of torque and a 1.4 litre turbo petrol engine that produces 140 PS and 242 Nm of torque. The transmission options include a 6 speed manual gearbox, a 6 speed AT and the 7 speed DCT.
COMPETITORS
The Seltos toppled the segment leader, the Hyundai Creta for two straight months. Apart from the Creta, its rivals include the Tata Harrier, MG Hector, Mahindra XUV 500 and the Jeep Compass.

Currently the Seltos is offered in 8 variants: HTE, HTK, HTK Plus, HTX, HTX Plus, GTK, GTX and GTX Plus. Coming to colour options, the Seltos has the option of eight single tone and five dual tone paint schemes.

Kia is also developing the electric version of the Seltos and will be launched in 2020 only. The all electric SUV might share powertrain with Kia Soul, Kia Niro and Hyundai Kona. Kia is also gearing up for the launch of its second product for India- the Carnival CBU, that will be launched via the CBU route.
