KIA Sonet diesel automatic expected to be priced between Rs 12 - 13 lakh

Meanwhile in this article we would talk about the other expected part of this new compact SUV and that would be its diesel automatic variant. This is something news and while car-makers have offered diesel AMT trims the Sonet with its torque converter diesel automatic aims to bring a new choice to those who want a diesel but also want an automatic. The KIA Sonet would come with a 1.5l diesel which makes 115 bhp and that would be more than the manual version. Plus it would have a proper 6-speed torque converter though it would not get paddle shifters as that would be for the DCT turbo petrol only.

Now let us talk about the price of the diesel automatic Sonet and here the top-end powerful diesel automatic Sonet is expected to be priced at around Rs 12.5 lakh ex-showroom and we expect KIA to charge an approx extra one lakh for the automatic. That would mean the Sonet would cross Rs 12 lakh in terms of the price but again it would be an USP since archrival Hyundai Venue does not offer this option. We are eagerly awaiting more details while the Sonet on its first day has got more than 6,500 bookings which shows the anticipation for this car.
