Mahindra XUV700 to get Biggest Sunroof called Sky Roof - Production to Start in July,2021
Mahindra has started releasing teasers of the XUV700 and also confirmed its launch in 2021. The XUV700 is an all new model by generation and would be the most advanced SUV by Mahindra. According to the teaser revealed the XUV700 would also have a sky roof and is being said to have the biggest sunroof in its class. The ad says that it is like driving a convertible. This means that the XUV700 would have a large panoramic sunroof and it might be larger than rivals like the Tata Safari and the Hyundai Alcazar.
The XUV700 sits on an all new platform and is bigger while being loaded with a long features list including advanced driver assistance systems plus large touch screens and more. Mahindra says that the skyroof measures 1360mm in length and 870mm in width. It will also have a new look interior and new engine options with a 2.2l diesel and a 2.0l turbo petrol. The engines are shared with the new Thar but they would be more powerful. The gearbox options would be a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The current XUV500 will be discontinued and the XUV700 will take the place for now with a smaller version coming in later. Like other such SUVs there would be 6 and 7 seater lay-outs being available.
Based on a recent leak from the Mahindra plant, the production of XUV700 is expected to start within the next 31 days in July with launch expected by end of August or September,2021.
