Auto Expo 2020 - New Car List

2019 showed us that the strongest vehicles on the road were indeed the strongest competitors in the market. With SUVs making most sales in India last year, 2019 was truly the year of SUVs. So, keeping the trend in mind, a lot of companies have geared up to cash in. We are looking forward to the launches of a lot of compact or 7-seater SUVs this year along with a bunch of sedans and just a few hatchbacks.
An event to look forward to in the Indian automobile industry is the yearly auto expo which will be held from 7th-12th February 2020 in Delhi. While a lot of enthusiasts wait eagerly for the event, many of those coming launches have already been speculated of.
Here is the detailed list of all the cars that are expected to be showcased in Auto Expo 2020
Maruti-Suzuki
The highlight of the brand will most definitely be its Futuro-E electric concept. Other than being an EV the car is also rumored to be a compact SUV. Other than that, the brand is also expected to bring CNG variants of swift, Dzire and S-Presso, completely replacing its diesel models. The popular SUVs like Vitara Brezza and S-Cross will also receive petrol variants. BS6 compliant 1.5-litre DDIS engine will also be unveiled in Ertiga this auto expo. The nexa products may also include, wagon R and a shortened version of XL6 which is also known as XL5. The Suzuki Jimny will also be showcased at this auto expo.

Hyundai
The 2020 auto expo will witness the first generation update for the Creta which has already been seen testing in India. The car will be heavily influenced by IX25 with a dashboard inspired by Tesla. A facelift of Verna and Tucson facelift is also expected. The Hyundai Aura will also take a special place in this year’s auto expo. Hyundai Sonata will also make an appearance at this auto expo. The carmaker may also showcase upcoming EVs and also its Genesis range of luxury cars.

Kia
Kia Seltos was one of the best selling SUVs in the year 2019. This time, the brand will amp up the sales with Kia Carnival, a luxury MPV that will rival Innova Crysta. The sub-4m compact SUV category will involve, Kia QYI. The kia’s stall will also include, the Soul tallboy hatchback, Sportage crossover, Stonic compact-SUV, Sorento 7-seater SUV, Rio premium hatchback, Picanto mid-level hatchback, the Stinger GT sports sedan and the stunning Telluride full-size SUV will also be the highlights. The Kia Niro EV, which is inspired by the Hyundai Kona will be on display as well.

After the huge success of Hector, MG is planning to launch more cars in its lineup. The 6-seater and practical 7-seater Hector will also be put on display. Along with that the ZS EV is also expected to be launched soon. The Full-size SUV, Maxus D90, will also be on showcase.

Skoda
Skoda will be introducing, Euro-spec Octavia RS245 and the Superb facelift. The SUV lineup involves Skoda Karoq and a Kamiq inspired SUV that is jointly developed by Volkswagen India. Skoda will also launch Rapid TSI BS6 compliant.

The list will start with T-ROC that will be a huge competition for Jeep Compass. The brand will also introduce an upgrade to Tiguan and Tiguan Allspace. The launch of T-CROSS is also expected. Volkswagen will also showcase Passat saloon which has already been spied testing in India.
Volkswagen will also showcase, Polo Winter RX race car with a 1.8-litre TSi engine and a new Vento which is currently being sold as Virtus in brazil.

The star of the brand this auto expo will be the 7-seater harrier, Tata Gravitas. Following it will be the production-spec version of the H2X which is also known as hornbill. The brand will show off the generation upgrades of 2020 Scorpio, the 2020 Thar and 2020 XUV500. XUV300 EV may also make its official debut this auto expo. Mahindra may also showcase the XUV400 which is based on the SsangYong XLV or Tivoli 7-seater. Mahindra will launch KUV100 electric this auto expo.

Renault
HBC compact SUV is something that has been talked a lot about. The concept will soon be unveiled this 2020 auto expo. The HBC will have a more powerful turbo petrol engine than Kwid and will be based on a low cost CMF-A platform. Next-gen Duster and Captur are also expected. The all electric version of Kwid, city K-ZE will also be seen.
