Launched - 2021 Maruti-Suzuki Swift with New Engine!
2021 Maruti Swift launched with New Engine - More Power & Better Mileage. Check Prices, Design Updates & More
Maruti has launched the facelifted version of the new Swift through various social media channels and it shows the various changes that the new Swift has. We had earlier written about the new Swift and we detailed the changes which now seem to have been true. The new Swift as a whole does not get many changes as such, but there are some specific along important ones nevertheless.
The changes in the new Swift start with a new grille which has been updated now and has a new pattern being added to it, along with having a new horizontal slat. It also has a new set of dual-tone colour options including, Pearl Arctic White with Pearl Midnight Black Roof, Solid Fire Red with Pearl Midnight Black Roof and Pearl Metallic Midnight Blue with Pearl Arctic White Roof.
Maruti has also revealed the other changes done including the addition of cruise control and a new instrument cluster with a bigger screen. The new Swift would also have the SmartPlay Studio touch screen infotainment system. There are also auto foldable ORVMs. The AGS or AMT will also get an Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with hill-hold. In addition it will get safety features like dual airbags, ABS with EBD, Pre-tensioner and force limiter seat belts, driver and co-driver seat belt reminder, ISOFIX, reverse parking sensors with a rear view camera.
Finally in terms of engine options, the new Swift would have a more powerful 90hp 1.2l dual jet engine and that makes more power this time with 7 extra bhp. There would also be inclusion of a start-stop feature also. This new engine would make the new Swift better to drive and a lot smoother while there is an improvement in terms of the mileage, with the inclusion of the start/stop system in it. In terms of mileage numbers it is 23.20 km/l in MT and 23.76 km/l in AGS variants.
What will not change would be the 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox. Of course do remember that Maruti does not offer the Swift with the diesel engine anymore and that will not change also with the new version, it would remain petrol only.
The new Swift would compete with the likes of the Hyundai Nios and also would see an increase in its pricing to reflect the new changes but the new engine and the extra features would make it worth it we guess.
PRICE OF ALL-NEW SWIFT 2021: (Ex-showroom Delhi; in Rs lakhs)
