Renault Kiger First Teaser Revealed - Launching next Month

Renault has revealed the first teaser of its Kiger compact SUV and we expect the reveal/launch to be next month. The Kiger is the first sub 4m compact SUV from Renault and is the sibling of the Nissan Magnite which is also launching in a few days time.

Renault has got out the first teaser of what looks like to be the concept version of the Kiger. It is quite radical and futuristic to look at while you can see the slim LED DRLs and the sloping rear which is unique plus would further make it different looking from the Magnite and other compact SUVs. It will be quite aggressive looking and will have a wide stance. One thing is that the DRLs and headlamps would be separate and the actual headlamps would be below. 

The interior would also have a new design and a much more futuristic one when compared to the Triber plus it would have features like an 8inch floating touch screen plus steering controls, climate control and more along with a fully digital instrument cluster. Being based on the Triber much like the Magnite, the Kiger is expected to be spacious and practical with large storage spaces much like the compact MPV plus generous amounts of legroom/headroom and good space at the back.

We expect the Kiger to share the engines with the Magnite which means a 1.0 petrol with a manual gearbox plus possibly an AMT plus a 1.0 turbo petrol which will have a manual gearbox and a CVT automatic. A reveal and possible launch is next month or at the start of next year. We expect aggressive pricing just like the Triber and Magnite which means it would be much cheaper than the Kia Sonet or Hyundai Venue.
