Skoda will be showcasing its made for India mid-size SUV called as the Kushaq in March,2021 while some details have already been revealed by them. The Kushaq would be a competitor to the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and others too while the sibling of the Kushaq would be the Volkswagen Taigun expected to be launched soon after the Kushaq.Here are all of the details of the upcoming Skoda Kushaq.
Skoda Kushaq Specifications and Design
We saw the concept form at the Auto Expo last year and the production version will follow that with a large Skoda grille along with a crossover shape. The SUV will feature LED headlights and daytime running lights. The tail and brake lights are also fitted with LEDs. There is a sloping roof and square like tail-lamps while the wheels would be of a large size too.
Skoda Kushaq Interior and Features
We expect a spacious cabin as the wheelbase of the Kushaq has been revealed at 2,651 mm. The MQB-A0-IN platform is flexible and claims to offer enough roof but it remains to be seen whether it can even compare to the Creta or Seltos. There would be a touch screen on offer plus a sunroof, climate control and other features. Skoda has revealed that the Kushaq will have the MySKODA Connect feature which is connected car technology.
In terms of safety there would be six airbags while dual airbags would be standard along with ESC. It will also have Hill-Hold Control, rain and light sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system and a cruise control system.
Skoda Kushaq Engines & Tranmission
Skoda will only offer petrol engines on the Kushaq with a 1.0 TSI which will be offered with a six speed manual and a six-speed automatic. There would also be a 1.5 TSI with a DSG automatic. No 4x4 would be offered also.
Skoda Kushaq Price and Launch Info
The Kushaq is based on the MQB-A0-IN platform and more models will follow from this platform soon. Skoda has also achieved a high level of localization at up-to 95 percent which means pricing would be expected to be aggressive. The launch would be in April while in terms of prices expect it to be between Rs 10-17 lakh.
