Skoda Kushaq (Creta Rival) Launching in June,2021 – Image Gallery of Exterior, Interior, Features, Dimensions, Specification, Price Details
The Skoda Kushaq is one of the most anticipated launches and while due to Covid-19 the wait has been extended, the timelines for the launch and bookings have been unveiled. According to Zac Hollis - Director, Sales & Marketing - Skoda India, the Kushaq would be launched in June and the full specifications along with prices would also be revealed in June of course. The SUV would start bookings immediately after launch and reach the showrooms in July for display and test drive. The deliveries of Kushaq is expected to start by end or mid July. The Kushaq was revealed recently and we even had a good look at it.
The Kushaq along with the Taigun from Volkswagen are based on the MQB-A0-IN platform which has been developed for India and hence both these SUVs have several India specific changes to cater to our market.
The Kushaq would be feature loaded when launched and standard equipment would also be fairly generous including a 10.1 inch touch screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cooled and ventilated front seats plus more. As we have mentioned before, the Kushaq would come with petrol engines only and would have a range starter in form of a 1.0 TSI petrol which would have a 6-speed manual while there would also be a torque converter auto. The top-end Kushaq would also get a 1.5 TSI which would have a 7-speed DSG.
We expect aggressive pricing in the region of Rs 10 lakh starting for the Kushaq to rival Hyundai Creta & Kia Seltos. The timelines are subject to the current situation but if major cities and other places in India are free from lockdown by June with cases going down, the launch plan would be adhered to most probably. The Kushaq would come in earlier than the Taigun which is slotted for a festive season launch.
